Little known fact: Jeremy types while wearing mittens. There’s a fun bit o’ Firetower Trivia for you.
Okay, not really. I just don’t like the fact that his hands appear to be nubs in this comic. I’ve got to work on that.
Anyway.
This is just part of a series of “Before and After” that we’ve noted over here and are going to translate into comic form. You see, parenting takes some…adjusting…and each of our daily routines (in this case, Jeremy’s nightly writing routine. See, you can tell it’s night because of the crescent moon that’s out. Actually, that moon annoys me. I feel like it has to be there, to let people know what time it is without showing people a clock. But the geek in me is freaking out. In order for that moon to be up that late in that position – based on where that window faces – it would have to be a full moon. But the full moon didn’t really read “moon” in black and white…so I went with a sliver of a moon.) has adjusted because of the baby.
Though I’m sure that this isn’t unique to us, she is quite persistent in her attempts to shut down (well, actually, just to play along with) the things that interest us. I like to think that our baby is particularly fiesty and disrupty and politically aware (don’t ask me how I got politically aware out of her keyboard smacks, I just do) and that this persistent disruptiveness is a marker of some sort of character trait that I will grow to love when she gets to be a grown up. For now though, it’s adorable and annoying…adorying? Annorable? I’m going with annorable.
